Diggin up an old thread here, but I have to say.... I just noticed the redesign today.. was a massive fan of the old one. This isn't the build style I can to love and spooge over.

The "clippings" function is an excellent idea. The pdf it creates is sick. Great work !

yikes. I love Build's work, but I definitely prefer the previous site. I'm sure his site could have a splash page with music though and he'd still get work.

Saying you don't like something is fine. But accusing someone of being a walking ego when you have never met them? not fine, just rude and that's non argueable.

I like this site for one reason above all, i can find work on it without having to click 100 times, that always fustrated me on the old one.

It does prove though that interaction design throws a whole load of new spanners into presenting something creatively... for a long time 'new media' was thought of something 'my nephew does' and not valued because there is nothing tangible (its just a load of 0's and 1's)
But the more I've worked with graphic designers, the more I've seen them come to appreciate the complexities, some really embrace it, others think its 'your problem'
Either way it is always interesting, but those who take hold of it get more out of it.

Well said, neue.
I liked the lo-tec honesty of Build's Gedel site, with photos of print production accompanying jobs.
At the end of the day it's a showcase for printed material, not new media. The new site does that well.
