my point is something is amiss because your head and foot doesn't just start growing in a guy his age all of a sudden.

anyway, its funny to look at photos of sammy sosa before and after and then now.
- BonSeff0
its also funny when sosa testified to the senate and forgot how to speak english

I hope Griffey can stay healthy.
He has 589 HRs. He is 37 years old. Bonds is 43.
If Griffey plays until he is 43 (staying healthy) he would only have to average 27.83 homers per year to tie Bonds' new record of 756...
IF he stays healthy he can easily do it...
he would only have to average 35 HRs a year to reach 800.
I am fairly certain Griffey is drug free. He's been doing it his entire career and also doesnt look like the Hulk.

I've never, ever encountered an athlete who is as hated as Barry Bonds.
To the extent that even his fans, when you mention what an asshole he is, don't contest it, and immediately change the subject.
The average american baseball fan hopes he gets run over by a train. Several times!

That's what I'm saying.
If Bonds took acid, he'd be a groovier dude.
But, you know, he takes steroids, and they make him grumpy.

On the page below, right side, there's a link to a photo gallery called "Barry Bonds Through The Years"
http://www.nbc5.com/sports/13845…
When was he supposed to have started doing steroids?

And the Giants are still dead last.

Ruth played during the dead ball era. He was a starting pitcher during his Red Sox years.
Aaron played during the entire decade of the 60s, the most pitching-dominant era of baseball.
Bonds is playing in such an asterisk-ridden era where no one cares anything about the integrity of the game.
Here's another thing to consider. Baseball went from 1977 to 1996 with no one hitting 50 homers in a season. It's not a coincidence.
- jondj240
actually that is wrong.
Cecil Fielder 51HRs in 1990
- jondj240
albert belle 50HRs in 1995
i am a sucker for stats. :)

Actually, I had been meaning to post this but forgot ... the baseball card thread reminded me.
I am so disappointed in Marion Jones.
Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut?
hahaha
No but seriously, I am really shocked I guess. This is the nail in the coffin for Barry I believe ... as it is not looking good for him at all anymore (I believe I was his last supporter).
I don't really see people talking about anyone outside of simply Marion Jones, but same company, same people involved, same excuses that were used previously...
Sigh.
At least now Marion Jones is now finally attainable by someone like me.
Bright side of life, right?
- version30
fuck an asterisk.
he's hit that many, and in the future, someone will hit more than that.
fuck humidor maintained balls too
- k0na_an0k0
juice or no juice you need talent to hit 756 home runs.
- morilla0
well, supposedly Lance Armstrong is on that list as well...
