there will always be drugs in sport... its too tempting to be better then your competition with a little help from synthetic hormones.
only way to eliminate them would be to lock the athletes up in maximum security / big brother compounds to monitor them 24/7 a few months up to the lead up to their competition / game.

With as much money as he has it should draw this out to be nice public fight.

I gotta say... ol' Barry's not alone anymore...
... the U.S. cycling team... crap..
... then you have Miss Marion Jones who lied her ass off the past ten years... wasting all those other competitors time/money etc... taking what wasn't really hers...
... this whole 'roid' thing really pisses me off... what about the hard work and 'clean/passionate' approach to sports that so many other athletes have?... yet they never get a chance to really fairly shine...
... i mean... Marion Jones... think of all those other folx on an international level that gave up so much to either help other athletes train... or were athletes themselves...
... think of the money and time... all just... gone... cuz one fucking loser decides to dope-up and render all their hard work 'inadequate'.
I'm glad I'm not in sports... doing roids as a graphic designer wouldn't do much to boost my ability...
... but it would give me some amazing 'guns'...
...hmmmmmmm.... :)

I bet Kennedy still wears the same hat and shoe size though. That would be a great timeline to see though, haha

I'd like to see a time line of Ted Kennedy as well to be honest.

Actually, I had been meaning to post this but forgot ... the baseball card thread reminded me.
I am so disappointed in Marion Jones.
Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut?
hahaha
No but seriously, I am really shocked I guess. This is the nail in the coffin for Barry I believe ... as it is not looking good for him at all anymore (I believe I was his last supporter).
I don't really see people talking about anyone outside of simply Marion Jones, but same company, same people involved, same excuses that were used previously...
Sigh.
At least now Marion Jones is now finally attainable by someone like me.
Bright side of life, right?

Ruth played during the dead ball era. He was a starting pitcher during his Red Sox years.
Aaron played during the entire decade of the 60s, the most pitching-dominant era of baseball.
Bonds is playing in such an asterisk-ridden era where no one cares anything about the integrity of the game.
Here's another thing to consider. Baseball went from 1977 to 1996 with no one hitting 50 homers in a season. It's not a coincidence.

And the Giants are still dead last.
