i would highly suggest you don't do that. honestly, if you are not putting in your full to your job there, what is the point in staying?
personally (so take it with a grain of salt), i cannot stand sitting back and just letting stuff 'happen' to me. if there was not to do, i would suggest or find areas where there is or where i could contribute and grow.
aside from this, your employer (if they discovered this) could a) beat the shit out of you for it, b) the clients are then traceable and liable for the work and the employers time/equipment for the work.
not pretty.

Dont get me wrong I am not the slacker, stab the company in the back worker. When its a little slower or I have lots of work done, nothing on the horizon I do a little side work! Its all good. Plus the corporate stuff is so slow.

better than spending your time on youtube or myspace all day
you are just keeping your skills sharp and your mind flowing!

(Jul 6 07, 07:42)If your f/t your employer could axe you for that but if your freelance well, your free.

(Jul 6 07, 07:43)yeah, if you are ft i would feel guilty about doing freelance on the clock. and if i was full-time freelance at a company and it was slow i would just go home and work on freelance. bad news to combine.
