HOLY... SHIT... you're not alone...
... and not to 'one-up' you... but I got you beat... :(
it was 110 on Friday... it was 113 on Saturday... 111 yesterday...
... my A/C has been out since Friday morning... (I'm in Phoenix, Arizona mind you)...
... i awoke to check the temp last night (w/only a stupid lil fan on me)... 97F IN MY HOUSE AT 3AM.... FFS...
... they're supposed to come fix it today at 1pm... that's still 3 hours away...
:(

slinky. i literally just went through this very same thing a few days ago.
it was blowing air but not cold air.
had a guy come out and do a service on it. he checked everything out and it turned out it had no freon in it. he had to fill it with 9lbs (most hold only 3-5lbs but the lines were empty too). freon is expensive but for everything he did it was only $280 bucks.
also, it turned out we did have a very small leak in our line in the house which registered on his meter, but he had to turn up it's sensitivity all the way before he got a reading. if it turns out your coil is leaking, depending on how old your air conditioner is you may have to either get it fixed, or, if it's an old air conditioner it might be the same amount to just get a new one. this was what the tech said... so... if it is your coil that is bad i imagine it's pretty expensive to fix, and you'd be better off getting a new air conditioner.
btw. all of this is based on having central air. if you have a window unit most of those are considered toss aways. just go get a new one.
good luck.

just read the thread.
i imagine my air conditioner is about 10 years old too, most likely hasn't been serviced in about 3-5 years. (i've lived in the house for almost 3 years and never serviced it.)
hopefully it's just out of freon.
good luck man.

i like it enough... jus'... I smell funny right now... my hands are clamming up my keyboard... and my ballz haven't been this moist since dippin' them in the mash potatoes at that party me and flav went to (he talked me into it... i kept sayin' it was going to be one of those parties...)

k0na... you sound just like me...
i have been there for 4 years now.
my brother thinks it could also be a relay switch needs to be replaced.
i just need a service guy to come out.
MY home insurance deductible is $500... so once you get $250+ might as well hope that the whole things needs to get replaced and have the insurance take care of it.
- PonyBoy0
slink... you could 'guarantee' a replacement w/a well placed thwack of a hammer... :)

I must say that moist ballz feeling is the worst thing ever. Have to stand every few minutes to untangle things.
Gross!
