chossy, I usually stick my hand in the fridge till it goes numb to get that 'someone else is doing it' effect, someone from alaska or some unhappy shit though

From what I know [v. little, obviously, but i somehow still feel the need to comment], sharp searing pains are the indicator of RSI. Get yourself to a doctor and get a check up and stop relying on the hokum of witless pundits like us. Well, me - I suspect the rest of you are somewhat more bewitted than I.

yeah, I had very bad back ache years ago and a tres hot chiropractor kneaded my back etc for an hour, I felt pure magic efter, didnae get to shag her though which was a shame.

yes if you switch hands it feels like someone else someone not as good as the one you normally use if you get what I mean, you can't rub out knuckle children the same way with the other hand.
- Jaline0
yeah, try chossy's
- chossy0
yes I do actually...... :/
I got a massage for my christmas and I got some big guy to give me the once over it was ace I was drifting around for the rest of the day :D shame he beefed me at the end though apart from that great real top drawer stuff.

and work out that hand / arm more (unless it REALLY hurts, and then you'd have to get some medication or something).
Jaline
(Jun 13 07, 06:02)so you'd suggest I switch hands then?
- kelpie0
good idea material, I'll switch careers and practice homeopathy

Hmm...you should get it checked out, in case it is that. Possibly attempt to exercise (I know, I can't believe I suggested that, but I have to try...) and work out that hand / arm more (unless it REALLY hurts, and then you'd have to get some medication or something).

in america we'd say carpal tunnel syndrome, but i dunno if that's the same.
workman's comp, baby! get in!
:D

Its just a persistent sharp ache that feels way more tendon related than muscular, it kind of curls round my arm and hurts way more when I'm holding a mouse (mechanical)
- kelpie0
You have any recommendations for good embra massage parlours then chossy? you know; the *good* ones?
- Nairn0
lol @ pre-emptive left hand comment. you know your crowd, eh?
I've been using computers and not exercising for 20 years - I don't know what it is to have a body that functions well.
what kind of pain is it to make you think it's RSI?
- canuck0
i dont know what that is but. i hope
you get it sorted.
- chossy0
same here the RSI that is he he only joking it's tres good for morale :D
try varying your technique every day, I have to do this at work all the time seen as I sit with my heed glued to the telly and my hand in constant spasm holding a gay pen. It sucks when you get it and it can takes ages to go away, get yourself to a massage place and get them to rub you off good and proper :D.

I'm pretty sure I've got it, my right arm from the back of my shoulder down to the tips of my fingers is in agony and has been for a week or more. My brother developed it badly a few years ago and as a software engineer it sucks bad for him, not being able to type comfortably.
Anyone else experienced this?
ps. before you say it, no; I do the nasty with my left hand, so its not that...
