there needs to be tighter gun control. the government needs to wake up and do something.
i don't wanna be a next victim.

i agree that, obviously, there should be less guns on the street
i am not sure how to achieve that tho
either way, this is crazy...
and i got a client site that is down...cannot wait until i launch their new site and move away from this crappy host

dukie, that's alot to ask for. this can happen anywhere; highschool, college, work place, mall... should there be a lock down policy for every public place?
IRNlun6
(Apr 16 07, 14:25)yes...why is that an insane thing to ask for???you are containing the incident
it is the job of the facility management to have a plan of action for a fire, which can happen anywhere and at anytime. why should it be any different for a shooting? Espically when they are becoming more common.

i'm not sure that drudge is a fear monger. i mean, look at the most popular thread on newstoday. i don't even see gonzalez on there now. appears to have been usurped by the story of chimps being more evolved than us.

more fodder for the creationists i suppose.

Localities have gun buyback programs all of the time in the states.

V5, maybe since you have gotten held up you have some trauma that is making you overly defensive at the right to protect yourself... I can respect that.
But at the same time you need to check yourself and see if your part of the problem or part of the solution.

this is so stupid!
how can anyone possibly rationalise that controlling weapons whos sole purpose is to take life will have no impact on the number of deaths those weapons cause?????

hey at least we aint the backstreets of rio, huh john?

So wait, is your birthday on the 20th or the 22nd, harlequino?

the 2nd amendment was turned into a farce years ago...
... and now needs to be backspaced out of the Bill of Rights.
I hate guns.
PonyBoy
(Apr 16 07, 11:52)I'm really surprised. I thought you were more for gun-control.
Interesting.
Jaline
(Apr 16 07, 11:56)sorry, I meant not for it

I just hope the kid who did this doesn't go down in history as some demi-god to twisted youth and get movies, books and toys made after him.

but bombs are hard to make, it might involve math.

"A. Ishmael" ... maybe he was crazy, but he surely wasn't stupid.

this is just fucked. That's the last thing I even thought would happen when I was at school. I think the last murder that happened in the college town I was in was back in 1988 or something.
so fuckin sad...
- DUKIE08220
why did they not even cancel classes after the first shooting?

*whatever sound it makes when the point of a response flies over someones head
^skt did you happen to hear that a few seconds ago?
- bliznutty0
you are right.
i'm prolly contradicting myself.
he's got serious problems, but is functional, thus functionaly dwindling into a nightmare.i guess you could say society tried to help too!
i'm just sayin though, we do have issues when people are doing this as a game, sending videos to the media.. telling kids to follow them.. and the kids want to top the previous effort! fucking crazy... sad.

i'm surprised that anyone would say something needs to be removed from our constitution or bill of rights. that you hate guns is perfectly reasonable...many people do.
just surprised, but i respect your opinion...we all have one :)
- Jaline0
when people are shot in a lecture hall I would think that would call for a lock down...espically when they don't know where or who the shooter is
DUKIE0822
(Apr 16 07, 14:24)I would tend to agree, only because they couldn't find the shooter.
I'm not here to criticize the police, but it's common sense to evacuate when there's someone dangerous on the loose.
