Jaline
it probably would'nt hurt you to get a quick check up
ease your mind a little
take care

I just passed the 25000 post mark.
That must be the cause.

tachycardia is perfectly normal - it's the heart adjusting to changing levels of blood-pressure (alcohol, drugs, stress can alter it). but you should check it if it happens again over a small period of time.

See, none of these things apply to me (caffeine, drugs, alcohol, smoking), unless I'm having stress without realizing it.
Which is possible...

I get that feeling occasionally and it makes me cough. Even though it's my heart, it feels like I have no air.
Sometimes when I'm sitting down eating or lying in bed, I feel a little blip just below my heart (I can feel it against my shirt). I get that sensation in my legs and ankles too, though, so I figure it's nothing. And If I get up and walk, it's fine. I'm guessing that when your not doing any activity it just becomes magnified since your focused on it.
What do I know, though?

Don't worry I get this all the time. I smoke, drink, sleep little, work a lot, don't get enough excersise, take loads of uppers, shoot deer, fight bareknuckle, hang by my feet at night, hire hookers 3 a pop, watch strobing light effects for kicks, hold my breath till I get sunspots sometimes, drive hotrods, listen to hardcore techno, inject cocaine straight into my heart and base jump. And its not killed me yet.

j/k
getting it checked out is a very good idea. and, seeing as health care is universal in CA, it would be in your interest to do so.
could just be a murmur though.
- Jaline0
haha, matty.

Chocolate + Hot Sauce = Palpitations
:)

could be a blood clot in your major arteries leading to an irregular and pronounced heart beat. this in turn can lead to a stroke and or heart attack.
actually this is the sensation stroke and heart attack sufferers experience. Usually leads to severe brain damage and/or death.
- kelpie0
hahahaha
you cunt.
- TheBlueOne0
Jaline, I'm starting to worry about you. No alcohol, no caffeine, no stress, no exercise, 25000+ NT posts...
Forget these minor heart palpitations, Girl, you need an adventure.

I know, Brian. I need to get out more. Once I start working full-time my life will be more exciting. Summer will be fun. Music festivals everywhere!
