wondering if anyone has dealt with this before:
i have a school loan (have had it for years) and can't seem to find the w-2 that they send me each year to file with my taxes. do you really have to have it? is there a way to obtain a duplicate?
does this make sense? I always placed all my tax info for my job, ir, school in a folder but just can't seem to find that damn school one :\

just call and ask for another

you can easily request a copy of it from your loan provider. should be easy.

you don't have to have it, but it gives you a chuncky deduction. You could probaly call them and ask how much interest you paid in 06' - that is the deductible amount.

thanks all!

also, there are only a couple numbers you need from them – lots of loan providers that provide online access allow you to download it.
