Not sure if it's been said, but I found it awful strange that a cameraman happened to be standing right in front of that particular concrete barrier, and, when the car hit the guy hardly flinched... like he knew it was coming.
What a waste of a fantastic car.

Actually, as I'm looking at OSFAs photo and thinking about it... I really don't think it was stagged. I mean, how fast was he going to shoot up like that?
You gotta be fucking crazy in the head and have balls that clank to run a car into a concrete wall at 40mph to pimp you movie.
I mean I'd do it, but Unda Cova Brotha was a pussy.

First of all - I've seen the "CGT" with my own eyes, my firm does work with Chicago Pictures. For everyone who thinks this was unintentional I can also say that the "Carrera GT" they crashed was a Toyota MR2 under the body. That was publicity stunt #1.
As for number two, this particular crash we're discussing now - this was actually a real Enzo, however crashing a 750K usd car and get 250K usd worth of damages and gain what, 15 million worth of publicity in nearly every magazine, blog and forum in the world? The guy who floated that very idea is sitting 10 paces away from my desk.
You want a copy of the pitch?
jox
(Mar 28 07, 11:30)i don't want it. and it should probably remain confidential.
either way, there is no absolute certainty that this silly crash will bring in 15 million extra in revenues.
on the other hand, in one of the videos of the crash you can clearly see griffins face when he just got out. the guy looks clearly in shock and did not expect this.
if it was all planned who would not be standing there with that look on his face.
i don't believe jack of it. sorry jox. :)
on the other hand, it could well have been a carrera gt, it is the worst supercar in ages in terms of handling and stability. there have been so many accidents with it.

who = he

if it would be true, ferrari should blacklist him. no more l.e. ferrari's for him.

jox... I read somewhere that all the cars in the movie are from that producer dudes private collection.
Do you know if they are?... just curious.

the guy standing behind the barrier is the owner of the car
acescence
(Mar 28 07, 11:12)strange how he doesn't respond to the impending doom .. seems pretty set up to me

Ferrari... the McDonalds of the motor vehicle world.
- jox0
czawada, yes many of them are!
janne, i'm sorry but I don't know what else to tell you - believe what you want. I know.

Idiot comedian + Ferrari = Crash.
Nothing new...And, for gods sake, my little 2 years old daugther drives better than him.
- Crouwel0
jox, why his face then?
but yeah, maybe. cunts don't know anything else to nget publicity.. so the movie must suck real hard apparently.
what a waste of a well-crafted product.
but hey, all real estate people are careless brainless cunts.
anyway,
goodmorning everyone!
:D

It was all acting. The hug right after the crash didn't make sense either. Contrary to the remark about r e people, I'd gladly set 2 Enzo's on fire for that sort of publicity.
- Crouwel0
well the response of the guy behind the barrier (if that is the owner) is indeed rather cool and collected.
i know jox, you have no respect for anything. that's why you could be an excellent r.e. guy.
- jox0
Hm.. was that a joke?
- Crouwel0
oh come on don't be so touchy everyone
- rafalski0
I guess it the value of the remaining Enzos went up..
