werd on the plastic. but at the price who cares right. I think I can pick that lens up for $120cdn versus $500 for the 1.4
also looking into the 85mm I hear good thangs.

it's the encasement, it's plastic, i wasn't sure if i'd like it so i bought the cheapy.
i'm buying the nicer 28mm and 32mm as well i was so impressed

Get the 50mm and you will realize how low quality 18-55 is. You will rediscover photography again with low aperture shots.

It sucks since I just installed CS2 at home and got a nice scannner for my negatives, now I have to start over.

if you really want to spend that cash you should jump on a plane and come to nyc next week for nt nyc drinks...oh yeh and pick up that lens too while you're at it.
