My paranoid nature is reminding me of the cataclysmic eventuality from "Smilla's Sense of Snow". Seems more plausible every day.

those greenhouse emissions have become quite strong:

The more I read on this issue, the more skeptical I become of any human cause for it. And even more skeptical that there is anything we can do to fix it. It seems to be driven by forces beyond our control.
I will continue to respect the earth though and do my part to keep it clean.

The most rapid additions to atmospheric CO2 comes from vulcanism, with the majority of those in developing nations..
Were George Bush and his cronies to pander to Michael Moore and Art Bell and their cronies and help these nations plug their volcanoes with concrete, used tires, etc, it would simply not work, and would like involve the death-by-combustion of thousands of potential migrant workers to the US, stalling the economy and causing a drop in the price of Willie Nelson's precious Biodiesel, as well as an unrelated fall in sales of his country music albums..
Bolstered by the distraction of the global Liberal media oligarcy, and the fact that more than half the most intelligent able-minded people under 40 are at home play Tom Clancey's 'War Volcology IX', in which volco-terrorists dispose of the worlds supply of concrete and tyres in a poorly advised Whitehouse scheme to plug 3rd world volcanoes and bring about economic collapse, instead of looking out the fucking window and possibly think about doing something other than blogging, playing fucking playstation, wearing 'Emo' haircuts, whatever the fuck they are, then we might just have half a rat's assed chance, but I fear not.

pollution is awesome. go look at autism rates between 1970 and now in the US.
You status quo motherfuckers deserve autistic kids.

Diesel just came out with an ad (campaign?) basically mocking the whole problem of global warming.
we need a little less cynicism and a lot more positive action.

mrdobolina: Who is condoning pollution and what does this have to do with the Global Warming issue?
And the latest research on autism suggests a likely a genetic switch which may or may not be triggered by external pressures. My personal belief is that it's selection pressures from technology flipping a genetic switch which causes a neurological mutation. IOW, adaptive evolution within humans to better handle technology which inundates our lives.

it's called mercury, flagellum, heavy metals polluting groundwater.

I have a family member who is high-functioning autistic.

global warming only exists solely for those that sense it, therein lies the problem
- flagellum0
mrdobolina: that's one of many many theories and there are many reasons to doubt that it's the case. At best, mercury might be one of many environmental pressures.
Do not speak to me about this like you know what you're talking about.

thought provoking...

This is just stupid - the whole debate is about who's causing the C02, not whether CO2 is the cause. The problem is that when they title programs like these, people skim the article or see the headline and start to think that "global warming is a scam" - these shows do more harm than good - it's all about getting ratings by causing fear.

the NRO is not an unbiased news source at all. Its a republican mouthpiece.

the way I see it, either you are down to pollute less or you aren't.
regardless of what is causing global warming, it really is crazy to see people basically defending pollution. And if not outright defending pollution they are defending the relaxing of environmental laws and unravelling of 50 years of environmental progress.
Ever been to Gary, Indiana?
The destruction to that city has absolutely nothing to do with pollutants, right?

Blame the Co2 increase on them there cows!!
livestock contributes to nearly 15+% of the Co2 released into the air...
... I think China handles the other 85%...
