I've tried but continue to fail.

you just download the little plugin and then run firefox.
tools > DownloadThemAll > DownloadThemAll!...
it will show you all the links and you choose which ones you want to download either right click/control click > check selected items. select your folder you want them to download to and hit start!
simple. works fuckiong great too!
then press the start button
