I never really hated on the whole tv license thing until i started getting letters threatning legal action, and then after purchasing a tv license, and having it lapse whilst out of the country, recieved letters saying they could gain access to our house and search for unlicensed televisions without our permission. Coming from somewhere that does not have tv licences, i found it a little fucked up and a totally unneccessary loat of scare tactic crap.
not hating on the bbc at all, just the way its all gone about.

the tv license is a whole separate gripe for me, but i have to admit they haven't raised it in quite a while.
what really drives me crazy here in london is the automatic price increase for nearly everything from tube fares to newspapers every january. it's now 2 whole pounds just to ride the bus and 4 from zone 2 into zone 1 on the tube (cash fares)! happy fuckin new year indeed!

agentfourWHA?! well they can't prosecute you for owning a TV! It's only if your caught using it to recieve TV channels or record anything!

agentfour:
yeah i get those letters all the time too and they have a cruel and bullying tone that is really unpleasant. makes you resent buckling under the thumb of The ManĀ®.

I like moaning.
I don't mind paying for it really - if only to have TV without adverts.sinisnap has a point though. It wasn't long ago that same bus journey cost 70p.
