Haha, my friend made a Kim Jong Il shirt a few years ago ... haha.
I forget what the caption was under his face.
I think it was "Ill."
Shit, it made me bust out in hysterics. I'll have to talk to him about an image.

(Jan 8 07, 12:54)Can't remember, I think someone dies. But the funny part is really in how nervous the people are in organizing. And then when they sing Happy Birthday to an already irritable Pol Pot.

Why do people idolize someone like that? I really dont get it. Additionally, the whole che guevara crazy, I just dont get it.
Can someone please explain this to me?

(Jan 8 07, 10:26)people are ignorant... the images have become 'icons'. people think it's cool/rebellious, etc, but they have no idea what these people really did/stood for.

i only wear blank t-shirts, 'cause i know i'm ignorant :)

I don't wear t-shirts with bands or ideas I know nothing about.
True story.

It's a pity general Jaruzelski, the last Polish commie president never made it to t-shirts worldwide. The guy's mug had a lot of potential in his day.

who is responsible for more innocent deaths - kids, mothers, fathers?
Bush? Bush Sr.? Reagan? Nixon? Johnson? Ford? Clinton? .......... or Castro?
He is a totalitarian - but will be far behind the above in the waiting line for hell.

I would be willing to wager that a good portion of the population of cuba would love to see Castro gone. Did you see the news reports of cubans celebrating in the streets of Florida when Castro fell sick? His own people hate him. For some reason cozy little designers tucked away in their homes idolize him, and I am supposed to write it off as a different world view? So, the world view is, you like and support dictators whos own people celebrate his sickness? That is a world view I certainly dont support.
And, hey, the president of Iran has a world view, is it all fine and dandy with you too? Gimmie a break.

(Jan 8 07, 10:48)erm... the population of cuban americans in florida and the population of cuba are two very, very different entities, with diametrically opposed interests.

(Jan 8 07, 17:48)Seemingly intelligent people portraying Castro and Che as the good guys compared to US presidents make me lose my faith in people. And I never said US Govt. were cool.
Castro, having killed thousands of his own, turned Cubans into slaves.
My Spanish friend at work says "it's so good there are no macdonalds in Cuba, we can go and see the REAL Cuba".
Real Cuba is an apartheid where Cubans have no rights compared to turistas. Even talking to turistas isn't really legal. It is a human Zoo, where an average free man from an ugly capitalist country spends more on booze in a week than a lawless Cuban slave citizen earns in years.
