Utterly superb, beautiful, saddening, delightful movie.
Just returned from the cinema and I feel like it's going to be in my dreams tonight and bouncing around my head for a few days yet.
Go see.

Caught some of it via a Torrent, however, not the same as in the theatre and it was too big for my HD to handle.

It's very good.
Its not a kids film at all.. Very graphic, EG- torture scences, face smashing, chelsea smiles etc.
Its a fairy tale in a way, but more a child using her imagination to overcome a very grim time.

I liked it, it is subtitled but easy to stay with. I wasnt prepared for how brutal some of the scenes were but I think that was the directors intention, to get that gut reaction out of you. Visuals were awesome, costumes and effects were great. Story was lean but engaging.

It was a great movie, but I wouldn't recommend it to kids. There's a reason why it's rated R.
I had some quirks about the ending, like most movies. Overall, it was a great watch, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the 'making of'.

Great film. A kid's film that shouldn't be viewed by kids. A wonderful allegory about the loss of innocence and children during wartime. Great visuals (check out the child eating monster) and an excellent story. One of my fave films of last year.

i like how the cinematography looks, but im somewhat concerned as hell boy was a disappointment...

Whoa! From the looks of it that's not a kid's movie.
Looks like Hell Boy meets Shindler's List meets Mary Poppins.
Guillermo Del Toro is talented.

Is it too scary for kids? I have a 6 year old.

Is it subtitled? It looks like it is, if you know what I mean!
