I really don't want to open this can of worms but replace a few words above with 'blacks' and look at what you are.

(Dec 21 06, 08:42)Oh Sweet Jesus, save me from the absurdity. Talk about ignorance.
And I wasn't making a statement about the South...just saying that I was raised around lots of Evangelicals in the South and I'm way too familiar.

is there anything that you guys feel christians do right?

To everyone in this thread who thought I was making some sort of racism comparison you are a complete fucking dolt and missed the point entirely of my statement.
The POINT, having to spell this out for you fucking morons, was simply this...
The statement monkeyshine made was a gross generalization of a specific group of people (stereotype) based off of an extremely small variable. In monkeyshines statement one must equal all.
THAT, WAS/IS THE POINT PEOPLE.
- k0na_an0k0
oh snap, did kona really just compare you guys to racists?
black people arent trying to tell other people how to live their lives.

(Dec 21 06, 08:47)This coming from the guy who just tried to label me a racist yesterday to a black guy who's a good friend of mine. Ok.
Keep trying to muck shit up dickhead.

christians do lots of things right, but most of it has nothing to do with them being christians....
and in my personal opinion, a lot of bad things are being done out of religious believe....
i hope they're not just donating to charity because they're afraid of god....

Go back and look at the spike lee thread, dougie.
Greg and I agreed on a gang of shit, you chose to call me out and not him. I pointed it out and you went out like a bitch.
If you looked bad in that thread, it was your own doing not anything I did.
- Mimio0
No it's wasn't. It's also not first time that you've drawn comparisions like that either.
It's ok though, you're an alright guy. Let's not beat each other up over it.
- k0na_an0k0
No Mimio, that WAS the point but it appears I have to spell some points out a bit more than others.
It was a bit of a stretch how I wrote it the first time, but there is no question it's the same once compared.
I'm surprised at your post Mimio. If you're being honest or sarcastic, either way, we've had our differences but I'll just throw it out that I think you're alright as well. And in saying so I have nothing against you. Ever.

way be hind the times man, stephen baldwin has been trying to affiliate god with extreme sports and punk rock for the past few years...Basically punk rock kids will buy into anything that is hand fed to them and differetiates them from their peers.
Religion is the biggest scam going anyway, so mind as well sell it to kids u know by every cd and tshirt at a show on the weekend. Buy a cross and a skate deck while ur at it.
end rant.

i attribute a general charitable outlook as well as a personal effort to make the world a better place to spiritually.
- Mimio0
I would agree it's a people thing. In my experience amoung the people who call themselves Christians, they don't really buy into and believe all of it, they pick and choose their theology to taste.
It's the rabid bouts of orthodoxy and cultism that causes all the trouble, because those people tend to follow along, toe-the-line etc.
- monkeyshine0
well...I think it was your point and you're now using semantics to say that racism wasn't your point...but whatevah.
I said IN MY EXPERIENCE and EVANGELICALS, not christians...and I believe I also said maybe I'm not being fair but that's my bias.

i agree with blaw. consider that the reason that christians do the right thing is that they are trying to actively live out what Jesus taught.
