looks nice & clean

is that a Wotsit? why on earth would you have a half-naked girl holding a wotsit, on a jewelry page? that makes no sense to me at all - and what's she about to do with it?

lol@narin.
I thought it was a fluffy cow hand puppet thing.
Design is nice and clean. I would get rid or tone down the info at the bottom of the front page.
A friend of mine in Edinburgh designs and sells jewellery and he is http://www.insilver.co.uk
so close in names.

Maybe use a higher quality save for web setting. The product images look pretty grainy.
Nice work.

I agree about using higher quality save for the grainy product images. Otherwise, the site is really clean and looks great.

Overall, good sold template structure - clean, and easy to relatively navigate
some observations..
Intro picture - nonsensical, far too saturated, irrelevant at christmas - and where's the silver?! that heart necklace looks crystal, if so = why?
minor thing - Jpg compression on xmas delivery shout is terrible.
the dark red colour scheme jars for me - i know it's in your logo, but I don't associate it with silver.
Your product shots are over saturated, and i feel there should be at least two per product - 2 different perspectives. Also, it's hard to get a sense of scale - maybe do the QVC thing and include a crappy wooden school ruler in product shots? Also, the lighting isn't always great - they often don't have that jeweller's window sparkle.
'functionality-nav' (shopping cart, price breaks etc) is slightly un-obvious in that red bar - feels outwith each page's information flow.
Forms feel a bit slapdash - not as well laid-out as the rest of the site.

You know Ian, Dancer? Fuck - me too - haven't see in him in a while (he was a good friend of good friend's of mine).
ah-ha - good to see he's still doing those MASSIVE silver rings. he he - funny guy, somewhere between a rah and a wideboy :)

whaaaaa!!!
YEah I went to uni with him. He came down to London for a party just the other week.
He has been working in a school as a technician but his silver work has been in the local press (chess boards) I don't think it pays the bills in Edinburgh. There ya go – small world...

(Dec 21 06, 06:35)Yeah - it doesn't shout "beautiful, custom made silver jewellery worthy of land's chi-chi'est boutiques". The clean template feels more like a web host's or something. :\

Can not. Get. Past. Boobs.
Can not compute...
- Jaline0
That's another thing. You may want to change the image or fix it up to give it a feeling of what exactly you're selling at the site. I guess the breasts are positive, but maybe change the jewellery or make it the main focus of the image.

Front page image seems completely unecessary due to the fact that the rest of the site is nothing like it, as soon as I clicked on the links to the items she sells I was kind of surprised not to see images of peoples wrists and necklines and things that you put things on.

more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images, more images.
Jewellery is an aspirational product and I did very much feel like I could have been looking at a template selling DIY equipment or something.
It's pages like this that could almost be a blog or a very corporate site http://www.iosilver.co.uk/hand-m… that would really benefit from some more nice pretty girls wearing stuff type shots perhaps.
The red text for links etc definitely doesn't sit right with me. Can't put my finger on it but it's not right.
I guess I feel the overall look is quite harsh when I personally would expect to see something more "welcoming".
I'm not sure if my jibber jabber is of any help at all!

dont take christ out of christmas.
may he bless you all.

not that i'm lookin, but the boobs look a bit deflated. Needs more lift & separate.
- trooperbill0
lol, enough with the boobs... ok we'll change the home page image (its intended to be a seasonally themed area anyhoo, just needed something to start off with :) and we're working on the products images, got a light tent, just figuring out how to set the digi camera up to take nice shots.
great comments albeit brestular :)
- komkrktprod0
that big red blurb on the front sucks and the wording is off.
plus...its hiding the jewelry on the chest of the female in the pic...
- wendog0
any divs that hide women's chestisisisis needs to go
