dang this fucked up. Couple clients and friends know the family. The girls and wife were found yesterday but James took off to find help saturday and is missing out in the wilds of oregon in only jeans trainers and a jacket.
thinking good thoughts

yeah, its been on the cnet news since like the last week. i was following the news closely and glad they found the family. hope they will find james soon. he's been gone 2days from his family in search of rescue now. the longer he's out there, less chance of survival.

yeah, i've been checking cnet frequently for the past few days. i'm glad they found his wife and daughters. i remember seeing him on techtv.

emotional roller coaster, great that they found the girls but dude didn't eat for 8 days(so his family could) then set out in sub zero weather. damn!
- fooler0
people get lost out in the costal range all the time. I hope he's ok.

really sad. Hope this story has a happy ending.

they found some berries, i read somewhere. there are other things he can eat to survive in the woods. he should eat snow to substite water because it burns out too much energy. it's important he stays dry and focused. yeah, 8 days are very long. and now he's out in the wild for 2days without proper shelter or clothings.
i watch discovery channel suvival shows too much... but in the situation like that, everything i watched will be very very useful.

i meant he shouldn't eat snow.

with mistakes like that I doubt you'd last long...

hahaha, thanks!

yeah tk, I watch those shows, kinda why I'm nervous right now. He was supposed to return the same day if he found nothing.

i was lost for about 3-4 hours once and it seemed like 8 days. I was looking for snow caves to spend the night before I came across a snow shoe trail. scary shit. 8 days would seem like an eternity.

yeah, even those trained professionals go through some really tough mental challenge just being 3days out in the cold. are there bears in that area?
- material-10
just black bears if at all. The big problem is starving yourself for a week then setting out into the snow. No energy to stay warm.

last year a family got lost in the same area. They got stuck in the snow in a RV for a few days. It made local and National news when they where found alive. The funny thing is when the made National news law enforcement in Arizona recognized them as fugitives from a meth bust so the people that found them got some reward money.....I hope this guy from Cnet doesn't have any warrants.

damn, that's fucked up.
i hope this show will save my life when i get in troubles.

"Kim's wife and two young daughters were found alive and well Monday after surviving more than a week stranded in the wilderness."
