Does anyone own or know somebody that has a CASIO EXILIM camera? I'm being offered a great price, and I like the thin and easy to carry design. I already have a nice (but too bulky and heavy) camera so this one will be for regular everyday use.
Please help me if you have any comments, experience or whatever. Thanks.Happy Thanksgiving!

A friend has one, she's a complete noob when it comes to anything techy in general and cameras in particular. Her pics come out real nicely. But then again, I am also a camera noob so my credibility isn't exactly through the roof here.

i bought one for my girlfriend last christmas actually. although small and sleek...she always talks about how the photos are often blurry. i've used it several times and unless you are in a well lit area, the photos often do turn out blurryish.
i mean it is a point and shoot, and does take some nice shots, but it almost seems like you need a tripod for it. and that sucks considering you buy a tiny camera to CARRY around for a reason.

what brands do you guys suggest I stay away from?

i think you amigos really overestimate the light sensitivity of those tiny cameras.
If you are in adly lit area then it will look blury no matter what unless you use flash or have a rock steady hands.

agreed pr2.
i would actually recommend casio for a small point and shoot, but i would probably go with a canon if i bought another one.
i also really had good luck and great photos with my olympus point and shoot.

i have a canon sd600 which i take when i don't want to carry a nikon d80. it's compact, not as slim as a casio but it does a good job.

god bless 21st century -- all those camera are similar. SO whatever looks best for ya and feels good in your hands.
trust me they are all the same - "point & shoot."
