I hate getting out of bed. Laying down, not even sleeping, but just laying down, is probably one of my favorite things in the world, especially if my cat is snuggled beside me and sleeping deeply. It makes it so tough to get up in the morning. She runs around the apartment at about 6 a.m. and wants to play, but then about 7:45 she's ready to go back to sleep (so am I by this point) but I try to get up at 7:45 every day. But the darn cat is just too irresistable!

I have found myself drinking more and more coffee. My wife hates that I drink it almost everday.
I can say i'm not dependent on it (depends on where i'm freelancing), but I do enjoy drinking it.

I sleep less than a police-bird

I usually get around 7 - 8 hours of sleep per night, except on Wednesday nights (b/c I have to get up around 5am and I'm usually working on an essay until about 1am so I only get 4 hours of sleep).
So getting the 7-8 most nights is not too shabby at all, but I find that it still sucks to get out of bed either way. I always get up earlier when I have a free day or something exciting is going on, but during those work and school days I really don't want to get out of bed. Also, if I'm not in a deep sleep (like those 4-hours-of-sleep nights) then I feel so much better when getting out of bed, but of course you feel like shit by lunchtime.
It's hard to get out of bed but for me, once I force myself to get out, I'm out and I can't really get back into bed.
Thanks for that clocky link, looks like it could actually work for some people.

Do you all drink coffee?
I don't.
I hate the taste, but everyone in my office, and like family I have all depend on it to "wake up."
I think that's why I never ever even wanted to drink it.

Same happens to me every morning. If I don't get my ass in the shower after the first ring of the alarm clock i'm doomed to be late for work. Also, having to walk the dog every morning doesn't help matters.
I concur that regularly working out helps get you up in the morning.

the worste thing that happens to me is after all the snooze bullshit finishes and my alarm stops ringing all together, i start having a lucid dream about being at work
at that point, there's really no reason for me to wake up because as far as im concerned im at work and doin a bang up job

(Nov 21 06, 08:49)haha, that happens sometimes, it's so annoying, I really have pretty detailed dreams about being at work sometimes, luckily I live pretty near work compared to others in my studio

a friend of mine mentioned he read somewhere that the first three minutes when you get out of bed half/sleep equal a .0?(can't remember) level of acohol. Does anyone know about this?
I guess we all wake up wasted.

I have three alarm clocks set around my bed. My alarm clock wakes me up at 8. I switch is off straight away. I then get out of bed and open my curtains (the natural light helps wake me slowly). Then about 10 minutes later another alarm goes off which I put on snooze a few times – I usually fall back asleep at this point. Then about another 10 minutes later my mobile phone alarm goes off and I think "shit I fell back asleep" and I usually get up.
Sometimes I fall back asleep again and then I'm late for work but usually the 3 alarms does the trick. My gf is the best alarm I have though, she always wakes up early and makes sure I don't sleep in.
