you can't get it higher than 72 dpi since thats the screen res, but there are way to enlarge it without too much pixilation

oh ok. any tips on how to do that. take a4 to a3 with minimum damage?

Screenshots arent intrinsically 72dpi (thats just an abitrary 'standard') There's no dpi until you set a print size... its just a bitmap of x pixels by y pixels. If you are using a LCD your screen is probably 96dpi or 100dpi, but its still irrelavant to this task... all that counts is to get the pixel dimensions up so that when you choose 300dpi you have a large print size.
If you set Preferences > Interpolation to 'bilinear' before resizng up in Photoshop, you can go from say a 1024x768 screenshot to a 2048x1536 screenshot without any blurring...

sorry... its 'Nearest Neighbor'
this basically makes 2x2 pixels of 1x1 pixels, so its still dead sharp, just more pixels...
or if you want to try smoothing rather than showing the poage exactly as pixelly as it really is... there's plugins such as Smart Scale or Genuine Fractals
