Screenshots arent intrinsically 72dpi (thats just an abitrary 'standard') There's no dpi until you set a print size... its just a bitmap of x pixels by y pixels. If you are using a LCD your screen is probably 96dpi or 100dpi, but its still irrelavant to this task... all that counts is to get the pixel dimensions up so that when you choose 300dpi you have a large print size.
If you set Preferences > Interpolation to 'bilinear' before resizng up in Photoshop, you can go from say a 1024x768 screenshot to a 2048x1536 screenshot without any blurring...
