let us pray...

big fucking deal, do you really think the UN matters?
LOL
- mrdobolina0
thats funny.
That is what he always said before becoming the ambassador to it.
Honestly, a guy with that much disdain for the UN probably shouldn't be the ambassador to the it.

(Nov 10 06, 08:54)I don't think the Bush administraton is capable of making that decision for our country. It's quite obvious how they feel about it.
- mpfree0
and it's quite obvious how useless and ineffectual the UN is, in general, around the globe.
- mrdobolina0
what do you propose?
- mpfree0
Not sure. I shouldn't bark if I don't have a solution. Getting rid of dictators that exist in psuedo-democracies, especially in 3rd world countries, might be a step in the right direction.
Easier said than done.

Except for it's use in wingnut rightwing fear fantasies of "one world government", black helicopters and George Soros. So is it useless, or is it a threat? The talking points whiz by me so fast...I guess I should go back and re-read the Turner Diaries, eh?
- mrdobolina0
I think it is easier done with an international body that can speak with a multi-lateral voice.
- mrdobolina0
so that is the UN's fault?

I wonder where all the money is coming from to corrupt those countries....you know all the red ones there on the map. You know the ones that have all the cheap labor where the US is making all their shiotm and you know the ones that have the oil where we buy that too...yeah...corrupt. Exactly.
- mpfree0
incorrect.
you can't blame US companies that might be doing business with poor countries. blame the corrupt leaders that don't properly spend the money.
and don't start barking about Bushie. other presidents and countries do much the same.
like anything, it's accountability. UN has to do something about that type of shit.
want to know my idea, that's it. govern better.
