aren't ALL the macbook screens 'glossy'. with no option.
i heard the glossy screens are a bit poor, especially outdoors.

tkmeister, I don't use that screen on a daily basis - it IS too small. I chose macbook because of its portability, but normally use it with a large standalone LCD.
Resolution is one thing, but I have yet to see a laptop screen that displays colors properly. So far, the best display I've seen is matte macbook pro's.

i am buying a mbp as soon as they sort of some issues reported.
how is your mb? 13" screen seems a bit too small for everyday use.
- rafalski0
I'm just messing actually.
I don't think I am missing anything with my mb. I'd consider a 15.4 one, but those will come next summer, if ever.A 1400x900 13.3 one would be good too.

progress for you... still happy with my macbook... forever having to design for machines below the spec of it anyway... and everything else works sweetly for it anyway

Well today I just got my macbook pro.
I was excited until I turned it on at work in front of some coworkers and we all heard a very annoying high-pitched buzzing sound coming from the inside. the brighter the screen was the more annoying it got. It fucking gave me headaches and the sound overall is unbearable.
I'm going tomorrow morning to Macstation here in Vancouver to ask for a replacement. It is just fucking unacceptable to get this sound that apparently is a hardware problem that Apple has just admitted and posted on their site.
Fucking hope they dudes at this store admit they can hear the annoying sound that, who knows could become something worst in the future.
Anybody else having the same problem?

my macbook just returned from service today, i am putting a 7200rpm hard drive in it cause its original slow drive was a damn bottleneck.
of course, adobe /macromedia apps are just a little above useless on it, but osx is only one of the options - that's the beauty of it. this and its 1 inch flatness
i don't see any other dvi-equipped laptop on the market either

my pc is a brick that has so many virus and who know's what's running in the background. constant problems and i need to run popup blocker, registery remover or who knows what every time i use it.
my mac on the other hand, is running smoothly without any problems. i used to use pc a lot. now, i don't even bother turning it on.

Milan, why not run windows on a mac? and if you compare features, I don't think you're getting a dell for half the price of the mac
- madirish0
//yeah, srsly so weird how no one said that in this thread.
about as weird as someone not saying how much dell notebooks blow chode slop and and are only slghtly bettr hardware than a gateway....
i mean, rly, rly weird....
- Milan0
OMG, noone has said it yet in this thread... Macs suck!
Get a Dell for half the price that's twice as fast as the Macbook, until Adobe releases CS3.

if she doesn't need all that jazz, it whatever the processor, it won't matter much. it's very unlikely it'll be updated to have the same processor as a pro.
