I watched it today, from the comfort of my own bed ;)
Fucking loved it, more brutal than I realised it would be. Great music too, especially the Jarvis cocker track in the end credits.
It's definitely shot into my Top 5.

I loved the Pink Floyd reference when Theo visits his brother in Battersea Power Station.

The plot is predictable.
There are some good explosions, scenery is good. It looks like they used the same set as "28 Days Later", which is a far superior film.
I thought there were supposed to be flying cars in the future like in the Jetsons?
WTF!?

it's in theatres in the Netherlands now... really good and impressive movie!

you mean that one with the mad max kinda plot?

Ditto on the realism.. The first scene with the blast got me straight away + I thought Michal Caine's character was fantastic.
Nice homage to Die hard too - with the no shoes thing..
Great film.

I absolutely loved it.
All the actors/actresses did an incredible job. I think what really pulled the movie together for me though was the filming. It seriously brings you so much closer to the film. There is one shot in particular where blood gets on the camera and they just leave it. So bold. I loved it.
GO SEE IT.

Can we handle the truth?

How did it affect you? This is one of those movies where I saw the trailer but wasn't really sold. Sell me!

I probably should have noticed him before, but I've had my eye on Alfonso Cuarón ever since he exceeded my expectations in the direction of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban".
I'm watching this film this week sometime and it sounds promising.

*this film = Children of Men, not Harry Potter (heh)

its a movie set in about 20 years time. what affected me was that the world looked so similar to now. only slightly more dictative gov'ts. slightly more chaos etc. hard to explain, but this is DEF one of the best movies of the last few years. im not good at selling anything, so best view the trailer/read some reviews, or go see it yourself and make up your own mind :)

yeah me too, i though too many "seen it before" ideas in the trailer.

great movie! saw it lastnight. glad the ending wasnt a big sopping mess of cliche-ness.
