The Heroes Drinking Game
Rules:
1. Whenever Peter adjusts his hair (duh)
2. Whenever Mohinder says "My father's research" (some also say that because we have only drank a few times to this, they also add that we should drink whenever he mentions his father)
3. Whenever Hiro makes a funny noise (This includes "YATTA")
4. Whenever Claire gets hurt/killed
5. Whenever Nathan grins stupidly
6. Whenever Matt gets a headache
7. Whenever Hiro fixes his glasses (new)Do a shot.

Hiro is on Conan tonite!!
It's like the best of both worlds .... if I really liked Heroes an awful lot, haha.

I just saw this past week ... this is getting very predictable within the show...

This past week's episode was pretty good but there was a lack of focus on my favourite characters so I zoned out at certain times. But Claire's dad is becoming a better character and that hypnotizing girl who works for Claire's dad is also interesting she obviously has some baddass powers in order to "stop" Syler for now. I do remember the creators saying that there will be multiple villains though, which is realistic.
Of course it's predictable and usually I hate shows like that, but for some reason I'm enjoying it and actually rooting for certain characters. Except Peter and his stupid hair. Many of the other characters are good though. Peter is interesting because you know that whenever he's around someone with powers it automatically means that there'll be double the power available (in terms of quantity, not quality). Also, that new girl (memory girl) whom Hiro goes back in time to save is so cute and perfect for Hiro...

watched that last episode the other night. the show still sucks, but i watch it because it doesn't involve crime/medical stories or have 10 18-24 yr. olds living in a 2 million house together. what that show does have is people with super powers and thats' always been cool, unfortunately, they're not very original powers and the horrible storyline is making this show a failure... maybe not a prime time level, but it's really just not living up to it's potential.

Is this the last episode of the season tonite?
I imagine this is going to go on for quite some time now.
It's still good and enough to grab my attention.
I had some good conversations about this show over the break, however, like me mostly no one could remember anyone's names just their powers.
Are me and my jerk friends just stupid? Or is anyone else having this problem?
- joyride0
yes, I have no idea of any of the characters names are. I always describe them by there power or features. AKA: the cheerleader, the side talker, the drugy, hiro's future pin cushion...
PS - sorry you have jerk friends
;)

While watching the show last night I think I figured it out - not the storyline or anything, but the overall narrative theme - it's communism versus capitalism.
I mean you have two sides it looks like - the one led by Claire/Cheerleaders Dad and the other wher eit always says "They're coming together" - i.e. the "heroes".
Cheerleaders Dad is the exploitive capitalist - he's secretive, exploiting the powers of the "workers" for his own purposes with no ethical basis. He uses these powers - specifically Eve and the bald african shaman dude to control others (Mass media? Psy-ops?) The other heroes are like the clueless proletariats coming together of their own accord through their genetic, evolutionary (read marxian historical) dialectic..
Mohinder's Pop is obviously Marx, the guy who figured out the historical inevitabilty of these people, Sylar is Trotsky or whoever betrays the worker by being tricked by the capitalist...
Hiro's little time travel adventure last night to try and save CHarlie ends up in futility, because like a good Marxist he just discovered that the march of the worker is a historical ineviatabilty, unchangable..
However, I think we see Jessica/Nicky, her husband and son as sort of the Liberterians..out there on their own, pursuing self interest..
The whole story/theme is going to hinge on Nicky/Jessica's kid...who seems to have the same power as Sylar at understanding the 'means of production' but without Sylars compromised insane visions as manipulated by the capitalist - Claire's Dad. The kid will have some kind of Lockean, proto-rights of man naivite and save the world, even as the "heroes" come together in a communistic orgy of working together for the greater good of mankind crap, they will find they'll need the liberterian innocence of the kid to make it all work...
I think I've lost my mind with this show..

So is clara's dad evil? .... i suck

Sorry Blue but you have excessively too much time on your hands. However, on the up side I think your theories/synopses are amazing and have answered my question/concerned regarding Claries dad. Have you thought of starting a fan site? I would totally sign u for the newsletter. Then I can locate some free time to go skate.
- TheBlueOne0
Thanks rson...actually that all came to me in a dream and upon waking that entire post was already composed. So unlike you normal humans who are distracted by frivolous things like this "skat-ing" I use my big brain to figure out problems in my sleep leaving more waking hours for drinking coffee.

Blue ... interesting.

Also, it seems Sylar kind of has a similar power to Peter.
In that Peter has to be around others to have their power, whereas Sylar needs to kill the "Hero/ine" to have theirs.
And in terms of how and why things work, Sylar and Micah seem to have shared that from the beginning.

questions:
So WatchFixerGuy, his power is he can cut things with his finger tips? He can also 'feel' the inner workings of complex mechanisms, even the human brain?
He can also preform brain surgery on his own brain? And heal up quickly too? And see what he's doing through his head? Also, why doesn't SuperSpeakGirl influence the cheerleaders Dad?

Also, why doesn't SuperSpeakGirl influence the cheerleaders Dad?

(Nov 28 06, 09:24)The Hatian kiko that rolls with the Cheerleader's Dad.
His powers are similar to SuperSpeakGirl (Eden?).
