This may have been posted, but I was watching Bill Maher last week and he was saying that Irwin's death wasn't a freak accident. It isn't like he was stung to death by a "hug-ray"

i try ;)
but, for the record, i was being serious :)

horrible news – hard to get back to InD layouts with any kind of enthusiasm knowing such an amazing guy has gone and left his family behind.
RIP

Sad, sad shame. He was such a passionate man who really put himself out there. He truly was one with nature.
I've got to say, though, better he died doing something he was meant to do. I'm glad (not really glad, but, you know, solaced) to hear he wasn't killed in a car accident or fell down a manhole or something.
RIP mate.

woops, wrong thread.

that is sad Witt,
it's a complex issue but killing animals that are just acting as they are born to is awful.

i could watch it, it's real. it's the part of life we tend to ignore the most.

--------------------------------...generally speaking, what's the point of watching certain things? have you considered that this philosophy fills the world with... well... garbage. If everything is justified just by being there then there's no point in anything.

- i thnik the animal kingdom is rejoicing today - unless they liked thier tales being pulled, heads poked & being disturbed in the middle of the wilderness by a lively "guday mate, corrrr..." — rip steve!

That was one crazy man, but he did a lot to help raise awareness about endangered animals, and gave over US$4 Million a year to help save wetlands...
RIP..

I mean, that may turn into a dangerous philosophy since right or wrong are no more.

I was trying to explain this to my 7 year old daughter and she said "Awwww, so we won't get to see any more of his movies with the animals?"
Truly sad. Hopefully where Steve's soul goes, there are crocs he can still wrestle with. What a great dude.
RIP Steve!
