I mean seriously, he makes money coming up with this shit? 'Users read in a horizontal pattern' 'Following an F shape' I mean, yeah no shit, people read EVERYTHING in a horizontal fashion if they are reading english and those sites with the eye trace over are built in an F shape, he seems so wrapped up in his over inflated analysis that he cant seem to deal with the fact that designers can control where users look with typography, graphics, colour etc. He just states the obvious and yet he is 'an expert''

yes it was revolutionary to me to learn that people will read the first lines of text first horizontally, and then move on to the next paragraph and also read those horizontally. The real surprise was that they read the left hand vertical nav in a vertical manner.

This study adds just about nothing to the old Z-pattern rule used in print media. Still, good for a pitch quote, as kezza_2 says.
