wow i have a directory full of vista wallpapers which i collect and use on my dekstop since i like them...thats what they are for... the swf file was made by my brother so i can test swf file support and a shape/grid generator result that was made my me for maximize glyph research since i enjoy having my own windowforms. so i dunno what you mean by images iv collected by others efforts. since that directory has 2 purposes testing using my own files and holding wallpapers to switch from day to day.
the mouse has a great chance hovering over an image im not saying it dosnt but it also has a good chance not hovering over it... LOL oh man offcourse im gonna make something that works like i wanted it to sure ill consider feedback if im asking for it but only if it changes my perspective..and i didnt ask for feedback people were giving it was about something else. thanks but ... stay on topic

what do you mean hint,
not everyone on the internet is as stupid as you
i'm fairly sure if someone was using their mouse to browse some images that you've collected by others efforts they might just think to mouse over the image, and look what surprise they get
they'll thank me later
you though, can toss off, as the only person you are designing for is your idiot self
either way no matter what you do it will suck so get it done so we can ridicule it

no i dont want to have a hint about the mouse over and then the user has to avoid his mouse location just so the hint dosnt keep poping up.... its fine the way it is.
i just wanted to see if people value seeing information first then file or file then information thats all i didnt ask about how links are displayed and where and what they are called, thanks for the feedback on that but thats already finished and is fine the way it is and i didnt ask about it...
dont worry i wont ask anymore...if i get the job at RIM ill stay out of your hair more often, plus you should know i dont like u version4 and u dont like me so i dont understand why your even answering my questions or commenting on them why not ignore people u hate?

more javascript...
just put the description in a box that floats over the image on mouseover
whatever you do, just don't talk to or tell us about it
- twoismtwoism0
cause the question isnt being answered other things are being answered .... the question is when details and the file are both visiable do you value the text first over the file or the other way around..
- rasko40
I fail to see why you ask peoples opinions.

another idiot who didnt read anything i wrote... didnt you beg me to show you my gallery i know you just did it cause so many people were itnerested in it and you wanted to rip it... you wernt really interested in it...anyway learn to code kid your website dont work in ff and ie 7 good look... i have a job interview at RIM on the 12th i think i know what im doing... and i have to explain shit cause people cant read .... is mac os x bad that i had to ahve someone explain to me how to use it? lol i guess so... take your fucking quotes and shove em... i could careless about quotes just cause its a quote dosnt mean its true....
- version30
like the marketing statement goes...
if you have to explain it, it;s a bad idea
and why are you all hung up on visibility lately
use the css display property and some javascript then get the fuck over your stupid piece of shit knockoff limpware

id hate to see your kerning if you think the buttons are to close to each other ;)
- twoismtwoism0
they have enough space between each other... and if your glancing and not focusing on the text no point even looking at it :) cause a user will look at it not glance as if he dosnt want to see it.... the text buttons sound like actions so you cant confuse them with normal text.

rasko the scaled image can have a different view then just "scaled" thats why its View actual file.
so lets say i have an image of wuteva the scaled image + hint image in the hint view can be a zoomed in image of the image not just scaled....
View full size is same thing as saying view actual file
and id go View full-scale. over View full-size. but since I wanna avoid saying the scaled versions of the image can only be scaled looking I call it View actual file. I consider the scaled image more of hint images then scaled only...
i said i dont use icons beside links cause they look like shit if you scale text which i do cause i prefer it in clear type and when not cleartype i prefer my text smaller so....
- rasko40
also at a glance it could be a line of copy, they need to be spaced out more as they almostreadintoeachother.
- rasko40
it looks sloppy, you are making information design decisions based on your own preference, personally I think it would work better with smaller copy and some form of tiny icon as an image, I have no idea why you need to say 'actual file' rather than 'full size' perhaps there is logic but its confusing. Why dont you have a look at some stock libraries for an insight as to what works better?
- twoismtwoism0
and if you cant tell something is a link and not text you have problems ;) cause how cant you tell by reading it.
- twoismtwoism0
fuck it ill put it on the bottom like it is now i think its better.
- twoismtwoism0
i dont use resize scripts they are bad for the server and they dont give you full control this way any file can have wuteva sized scaled and hint image and its not bad for the server...thats how flickr does it aswell but it makes the scaled down images when you upload but i want control over every size so... i dont have a upload client
- twoismtwoism0
the links have a period after them... i was considering nodes beside the link but they would have to be images and if you increase text size they look horriable then i considered a branch like a horizontal line but i hate that aswell and i hate underlined text so no thanks....
View actual file is the correct term since the scaled image is scaled down and it can be different from the actual file....
I had View full-scale before but the scaled version dosnt have to be exactly like the actual file neither does the hint image in the hint view.
