i think we should watch Lou Dobbs every day on CNN.
once a country become borderless, it ceases to be a soverign nation. the government will stop support the poor who are legals. than rest of the country suffer.

What if are not taking welfair, AND you are paying taxes? What if you have family in the US, and you can't provide your kids with the basic needs? What if you are 58 years old, braking your back every single day, picking oranges, with no chance to a better future for your family? with no medical insurance? when you most need it? what about them? they are the majority and some of them have been in the US longer than you and me.

(Mar 27 06, 14:41)there are exceptions but if every illegal acted that way than there wont be an issue.
there is same problem in canada. richer provinces support the poor provinces by equalization. this is does not work and it is unstable.
now setting economics aside, first of all, they are illegals, meaning they entered the country illegally. does that mean any one who feels that they deserve something from another country should go to US enter illegally and get it?
looking at government as a charity is a flawed concept. the system is made to work for people who pay for it. Hispanics are majoirty illegals but there are large amount of koreans also. Being korean and seeing what it does that to the community, like prositution, gangs, etc etc, in LA, i find having illegals is more of burden of the society than anything else. also what about Hatians? why dont US government let them in?

the fucking employers should not be allowed to employ them in the first fucking place. politicians let them get away with it through bureaucrat kickbacks and shit like that.
orange pickers, dishwashers, babysitters and gardners. get fucking real!
illegals get out!

blame the business owners who hire them so they can pay them sub-standard wages.

hat doesnt seem to apply when you are an illegal and taking welfair and sending kids to free education / limited free health care

Let's all quit our jobs and go pick lettuce for 14 hours a day.

Yes. Pay rent, and you will get your room, just like anyone else.
Give them 1.99 and they will make your cheese burger on a tuesday night at 4 am, while everyone is asleep.

It's pretty fucked up when 8-10% of the births in a country are to Illegal Immigrant mothers. That's about $3 billion/year on the medicare budget.
- dinky0
social services are just a mess down there.
does this mean that i could go in to their house and demand that i want my own room and feed me?

no shit and in terms of the adverse impact on wage and employment, the impact will be most pronounced on minorities and established immigrants.
- dinky0
did you hear about the Irish illegals wanting it?
and they have more powerful folks so senators are trying to push it in?

500,000 immigrants protesting.
28 greencards among them.
- garettwest0
Because of the poverty rate and the large numbers of unskilled and semi-skilled immigrants entering the U.S. every year, a tremendous burden is placed on government budgets, greatly depleting the Social Security Trust Fund in the long run.
