It's the first time that I am working on a site that is not my own companys site.
So, if this client doesn't have their own server, and doesn't have a IT person, but just pay a host server for that, how do you go about updating, is it common procedure to ask for the administrators login?
I mean, I do need access to the CGI bin folders, all that...Let me know how do you guys approach that,
thanks,
Soulfly

well yeah if you made a client's site you should have admin already. You should charge them a monthly webmaster / updating fee usually hourly depending on updates. But yes if you are the updater then you should have access to everything.

yep, what bukka said. you should access to all files/folders that you will be updating

also good to have complete access incase said client 'forgets' to pay you. you can put a pic of a big steaming pile of dog shit as their splash page
