Man, I also spent about 30 minutes there and could spend another 30 (love the government job for that).
Here's a guy that's got a reason for what he does and knows how to express it, not some overly wordy philosophical bastard, a guy who seems to be passionate about art and design and has found a way to relay his thought process in an obviously original web site. Plus he's got a nice voice to listen to. Good work Dave... I loved the video of you wrapping too, that was a pisser!

wrapping?

rapping, raping, wrapping, whatever.

if this were a site selling candy bars or something it might be too over the top, but it's a portfolio, selling this kid and his work. he knows it's great, he got an internship with Pentagram out of it. Are any of you naysayers out there ADs and if so, would you hire/not hire this guy, i.e. is this site effective?
I think it's great. nicely done.

cheesy, over the top or not, the dude's probably going to be stinking rich some day. He seems like one of those all - out go - getter types who are simultaneously a little annoying and a little inspiring.

great site, however the work falls a little flat. Good job.

Hey Dave, great job! I find it very refreshing that someone has taken the time to really explain the rational behind the work. And although I'm not so much a fan of your design style, I have no doubt in my mind that with such a strong foundation in process, the quality of work has only one place to go... up!
I don't imagine that your site is easy to update, so I won't be visiting very often, but once again good job on the site, and good luck to you in the future.

"Are any of you naysayers out there ADs and if so, would you hire/not hire this guy, i.e. is this site effective?"
I'd hire him at the drop of a hat - no interview required. everything I need to know about him is on his site.
- uberdesigner0
I'd hire the guy as an AD, a PGA, and as an AT&T repairman

it is a glorified commercial for his school so yes if i were the AD ist portfolio center id hire him...
