So I have decided after a 14 year hiatus I am going to give skateboarding one more try. Today i went to this skate shop on Haight, and was just going to get some new trucks and wheels for my old high school board that I still have. Well, they told me my board is now a collector's item and I should sell it on ebay, and could get a decent amount of money for it. So I ended up buying a new board instead, which I am psyched about, but now I have to figure out how much to sell my old board for on ebay.
Does anyone know how much a Plan B Rick Howard board from 1991, in decent condition would go for?
Here's a pic:
Any help from you veteran skaters out there is much appreciated.
Wish me luck getting back into skateboarding, hehe.

dude, you were going to skate that!? that thing is awesome! i have no idea how much dough you can get, but i wouldn't dream of selling it. pop that bad-boy up for display! :)
as for the advice, just one word: "stretch". best thing i did when i returned to the skate after a hiatus. may sound dumb, but after being away for a while and not being as young, stretching made all the difference in how i felt the day after a session.

Thanks madirish! Great words of encouragement. And yes, good advice, I do need to stretch a lot before each skate session. Right now my expectations are low. I am not even looking to do any ollies or kickflips just yet. Mainly, I just want to get comfortable balancing and getting speed, and then the tricks will hopefully come back to me like I am 15 again(okay maybe not, but one can dream)

Good luck getting back into skating! You're a brave man!!
I've got a number of older boards too. I didn't think that they would be worth anyhting?? Jeff Kendell Street, a Mini Nataus, a mini Hosoi and a Powell Peralta Guerro.
I might dig them out of the garage and take some pics...

My advice is to get used to just rolling around again. Today's wheels, bushings, decks, trucks etc. feel way different from those in the early 90's. Skate to the store, down your hill...
Once you're really comfortable with you new shred stcik, attack you favourite part like there's no tomorrow.
(Strecthing is a great tip too. I can't bend my knees as easily as I once could)
Have fun!
*Don't sell that board... unless you are'nt 'precious'.

It's not in great shape...unless someone is trying to fill a collection I doubt you'd get any more than $50 for it. Hand on to it I would say. I am one board away from having a mint collection of the Bones Brigade boards cira Animal Chin...

I remember a friend of mine in high school wanting to sell me his Lance Mountain 'caveman' board. Back then I thought those graphics sucked.
I also chose not to buy another friends Chris Miller mini bc i thought the nose-kick was stupid.
What a doofus i am...
- enfocusmedia0
The Steve Cab graphics were the best...

The Steve Cab graphics were awesome!!
I also liked Tony HawksDeck. I have an old Black Tony Hawk Hoodie..

Good stuff guys. I think I am going to keep my old deck. And yes, for now, I plan on just riding around, just getting used to balancing on my new board, and getting speed.
So glad I kept all my old skate videos. Anyone remember H Street's Hocus Pocus? Matt Hensley was sick back then. I don' t think he is skating anymore.

Every deck I have ever had has been thrashed to shit. I never really cared for the graphics much as they were gone after my first or second ride, I used to buy the planest decks available and still do.
Currently rocking a flip hkd with hkd wheels and skull kreper trucks oh yeah. Skinned the graphic of that in Australia no less cook and philip park and also a wee skate park in manly.

I know I've said it before and haven't done it, but I'm itching to get a deck again. I'm 28, haven't skated since I was 15 - am I crazy?
