Its ignorant, so why would I even get offended, you always gotta think, that person must either have a whole lot of hate towards anything but his own kind, or had a muslim girlfriend that cheated on him with his brother, I am not gonna take that bullshit seriously, and the drawing sucks

OR maybe they're criticising the behaviour and hypocrisy of some muslims with a slightly neutered and humorously provocative cartoon.

If you have a beard like the prophet is that OK? I mean emulation seems to be OK, even devout. so resemblance is OK , but any depiction of the prophet is not OK?
Why is a depiction different than a living and purposeful resemblance?
Just asking.
- Sharif0
Good question man, heres my answer
The Quran forbids depiction of the Prophet because it would lead people to worship a picture, or in this case a person(Mohamed PBUH) instead of God.
Muslims are supposed to try their hardest to live a good life as He did, be a just human being, the little things they emmulate like his beard for instance, or the certain way he prayed are called Sunnah, these things bring you closer to God not to a picture of one of his prophets, you see what im sayin?
- flagellum0
huh? whuh happen? Somebody disparage a picture in a cartoon?
- Sharif0
Basically Mohamed was the closest to God at his time, so all the little things they copy is to try to achieve a closer relationship with God as he had, thats what I meant, so because the Muslims werent supposed to rreally depict people i ntheir art, caligraphy became the #1 Islamic version of artisitic expression, this is why its so beautiful and everywhere on every building, mosque etc...

basically it's to stop people from idolatory. Judaeo thing.

thanks for yr answer. Intention must weigh for alot. If blasphemy is not intended, is it?
Its a different system so I'm asking these simple questions which help me understand what seems perplexing.
- Sharif0
Intention is huge, Doing is even bigger, and not worrying about calling out people for their faults (Gods Job) is the biggest, this seems to get lost in translation all over the world, also seems to be why people hate religion, but the big thing is that its between you and God, so why do people point out everything? I guess to make themselves feel better about the shit in their closet, I dont give a damn what anyone does, cause for me(a Muslim) what he does wont affect my destiny, ok thats the deepest I will go for today, I know people LOOOOOVE the religion talk, one last word as a conclusion CONVERT YOU INFIDELS! haha I love those people
- xenicon0
ok. i found a pretty clear explanation of intention here if anyone needs to follow
