only the shrewd Iranians have taken the step to rename the pastries in an attempt to heighten tensions and deflect attention from their nuclear programme.

it's only a matter of time before it spreads and other people say
"heeeeyy... that's a good idea" and while we're at it, why don't we rename Kevin Federline "Mohatmat Al Douchebag"

This brand of idiocy is to be expected from the man wrought religions.

(Feb 9 06, 07:40)If you say so. How do you know this? I'm seriously asking. I'd like to read up on that too.
What is your real name btw? I think I know it but I might be wrong. You know mine I thought it would be nice if I knew yours.

kona, don't forget malasia and indonesia. they have the largest muslim populations. I think he is reading you the wrong way. I said muslims in this thread too. I am not saying anything against the people that are doing the crimes. They are like that for a reason. They are ignorant, and their govts wanna keep 'em that way.
the whole cartoon and danish (mohammedan or whatever) was hilarious!

(Feb 9 06, 07:40)That and the fact that they're scared shitless, have no natural allies, and need to villify the west for their own solidarity.

i'm not reading him wrong pyeaton. I was commenting on the ignorance of someone, who doesn't know enough to recognise the politicising of the issue by certain Muslim countries for their own benefit, and then clumsily ascribing what happens in one country (Iran) to the whole of the Muslim world.
- KuzIV0
true Mimio.
They are smart fuckers those Iranians. It wasn't even an issue in that country until the leaders realised they could get alot of political mileage out of it and get one over the "great satan".

I know a lot of this sounds very racist. But it is not. Until 100 years ago, the west had no need for them. then all of a sudden when the west needs petrolium, we get all chummie with them and drop in regimes that are with us and not the people of their countries. Put yourself in the average muslim's shoes/sandles. They have nothing, and they get to sit there and watch as the rich west, and the leaders of their countires get richer by the millisecond.
But, look at the total opposite in neighboring countries like the UAE. Very socialistic societies there. People get wealth from the oil in their countries. Dubai is a shining example of a well fed, intellectual, educated muslim society. Night and day from ost of their neighbors.

it seems saudi arabia wants totake their country a step closer to the future with King Abdullah Economic City too.
Competing with Dubai?

Kuz47, relax. As I said in my first posts I didn't know all of the details and was looking for some news on it.
Then as I was typing my clumbsy whatever it was you said Mimio posted the article. So it was bad timing on my part.
Relax and have a Muhammedan.
- lowimpakt0
it's racist AND stupid
- bombadil0
KuzIV, this may be the case. Or it could simply be that you are assuming such a motivation. I don't think it is beyond the realm of possibility that we are simply witnessing quarrelsome malevolence.
- KuzIV0
trust me bombadil. It's my JOB to know about these things.
- bombadil0
Oh? Part of an "Intelligence" agency?
- Mimio0
I don't know if the Iranian propaganda about the holocaust could be interpreted as a 'shrewd strategy', in fact they come off as ill-informed perpetuators of anti-zionist bullshit. They're feeling the pressure of being an Islamacist nation in the modern world, so they're speaking to their fundamentalist base.
- bombadil0
I think that's spot on, Mimio. I think one must also factor in a religious tradition hopelessly connected to a founding prophet who did not shy away from a good military offensive.
- lowimpakt0
what?
