$8 for the fish sandwich and $250 for rolling through the yellow/red light in one of those photo enforced intersections!
damnit! wasn't even paying attention and all of a sudden *snap! great timing right before christmas and all. my own fault but still! uggh.
stupid question but is there any chance it didn't catch me?

i always drive around with a bag over my head, that way they can't prove it was me.
trust me though, you're going to want to cut eye holes in it. i made that mistake once.... once....

in all honesty you can only hope they are lenient (sp?) and see you went through on a yellow.
i don't have a front plate on my car. i'm really playing with fire though. out of the dealership they didn't put the bracket on, since i've had the car i've only been pulled over once *knocking on wood* for it.
we'll be holding our breath for you man hoping you don't get sent the ticket.

I got tagged by a speed photo camera (not red light... but even more incidious, inho) in DC but found out it was during an introduction period, so only a warning...Is it a new camera on that intersection?
Get a can of that spray on stuff...supposebly it works to create a flash hotspot they can't read.

i did that once right before i sold my car, and like 4 months later i got a ticket in the mail for doing that one time.... and i was about to pay it and took one more look at the date.
LUCKLY i did, cause the date was 1 week after i sold it. i almot paid someone elses ticket!!! i never got a ticket for when i did it.

my better half has no front license plate on his car either. we've gotten a few warnings and have a second plate in the car for parking downtown.
i got a photo ticket for speeding in a part of town i was NOWHERE near, during a weekday. i WALK to work...wtf?
there is no recourse.

how fast do you need to go to not get caught? Answer here:

they do make plastic pieces that go over your plate to keep them clean, but in reality, the plastic only allows a person who is directly in front of, or behind to view the plate, at any angle past 15 degrees (or something) it masks out the plate. i have this on my back plate. it was pretty cheap.

k0na - where did you get that? got a link? that sounds VERY interesting!

The conspiracy unvieled. Shortening yellow clight cycles on photo enforced intersections to increase revenue.

Sounds too good to be true. Does it work from all angles? Just placed an order.

Also, here's another interesting bit of information:
The company that manufactures and installs those camera systems is owned by the brother of one of the Costa Mesa city councilmen. Each intersection is in the neighborhood of $100,000 to install.
The OC weekly compared traffic/accident information from 2 years prior to 2 years after the photo things were installed and found NO reduction in the amount of accidents.
One can only assume that systems are being installed as a result of a nepotistic relationship

unclesizefuck! actaully i was on 17th and newport, but i'm sure i'm screwed just as bad. this sucks! the ticket is $250 right? any way to go fight it in court (even though it's obvious i broke the law since they have a damn photo! but in MN if you took the time to show up in court they would usually at least reduce the fine.
