so when is the new feature "super force quit Xtreme" coming out for OSX?
'cause the regular "force quit" doesn't do shit!...especially in photoshop. annoying as hell

if you're holding down the icon in the dock, you have to do it twice. if you're going via the chooser apple, i don't know what to tell you. I haven't had problems force quitting that way, yet. knock on wood
*knocks on head*

(Dec 13 05, 16:30)yeah man, that's the only way to get the damn app to quit! in the apple manual it should just say "in order to preform a "force quit" operation user must yank cord of wall, preferably very fast followed by a long string of obscene language"
haha, i wish

if you stay away from executing commands from root most everything is fixable
the terminal is your friend

I think Activity Monitor gives you the same 2-stage Force Quit options as the Terminal (with nice friendly icons)
