Ha. Shawn Farmer was the singer in my band for approx 3 weeks. I snowboard, but I don't keep up with who is who, so I didn't really know how well known he was. Until he brought in the magazines with him on the covers :-) He's an aggro dude.

chz, you forgot Rippey, but i'm not sure if he still rides. he was doing some R&D last i heard.
- sherman0
Rippey is for sure one guy who just kind of went away. Similar to Brushie who also just went away.
My big mountain vote goes to Brian Savard who was a inspiration in my riding when I was younger when he used to live on the island. Now he is back and raising his family in the Comox Valley where im from.
It would be fun to post some old pics. I dont have any at my house but ill try to track some down.

Rippey as well... although I never liked his style, he def charged.
I rode with Savard on Whistler once when he was on their freeride team... great guy.

Anyone seen any of this years crop of films?
heard good things about Paradox, and also the latest MDP flick, which I nearly bought today but its £30...ouch
- jevad0
I highly reccommend Paradox - give the Mack Dawg shite a miss this year though - fucking jib monkey central

yo nic I have a copy of FUTURE PROOF from Absinthe Films sitting on my desk with your name on it.
Mountain Dew Films? Are they fucking serious?
- madirish0

"yo nic I have a copy of FUTURE PROOF from Absinthe Films sitting on my desk with your name on it."
RIGHT ON!!!
- doddster0
hmm i had read the new MDP was more rounded than previous. The last few I've seen have been far too rail based for me - had heard this one was better...

Looking forward to getting the new David Benedek film, 91 Words, if it's anywhere near as goood as the previous Robot Food films I'll be well happy.
- doddster0
Yeah thats a defo on my list too, was a bit gutted at no Robot Food film this year.
- contra0
It's free with Whitelines mag this December, and the Nov issue has Pop (last year's Absinthe film). Beats paying £20!

Can't wait for the winter. Can't stop thinking about it. Anymore of this and I might do something stupid.
Dvds are just a short term distraction.
