I posted this a couple weeks back for $1000. I've knocked $200 bucks off. I'm selling the entire package below for $800. If anyone is interested, let me know. FYI, I'm located in LA. Pickup is the easiest, but if you want it shipped, you can pay for shipping.
I figured I'd let you guys take a shot at it before posting on craigslist or eBay.

But if I was a starving student just starting out, or someone who needed a great, up to date, 2nd computer, I'd bite on this one.
$800 for everything you need in a computer, including software? Not a bad deal if you ask me, but I'm the one selling it so maybe I'm biased.
To be honest, if I wasn't still financing the iMac and my PowerBook, I'd keep both.

Hey Madirish...if you know anyone looking, pass the word on.
It is a good deal (IMO). Sure, it's not gonna run as quickly as a G5, but for $800 and everything you'll need, I think it's a good one.
Ideal for someone starting out, but could make a great 2nd computer if anyone needs one.

Hey Cinco, do you design on your PB? If yes how does it run? What is your setup?
I might be moving and need to switch out my ridiculously large home studio setup for a MUCH more portable deal but I'm nervous about switching over to a single processor G4 PB.

Yeah, I got the PB about a year ago. I love it.
It's weird though...I work on a 17" large screen at work, with a G5 dual processor. I go home to a 12" PB, and oddly enough, I even use the trackpad most of the time. I USED TO HATE THE TRACKPAD! I even bought a wireless mouse, but I always find myself using the pad!
The PB runs fine though. The newer PB's are even better than the one I have, but I'd done A LOT of design with the PB and it's not a problem.
I have the PB on a wireless network, so whenever I need to print something it goes through my iMac to the printer. Hopefully I'll sell the iMac soon (hence this thread) and if I do I'll just plug into the printer when needed.
But as long as you don't mind waiting a little longer, a PB is perfectly fine to design on.

I'll say...just trying to help out those that are starting out and looking for a good deal.
Sure, you could go buy a new iMac for $1200, but then go pick up all the software you'll need, a printer, airport card, wireless keyboard and mouse, etc., and you're well into $3000...

Hey dudes that post I posted was seriously dickafied. But truly - craigs list is the best place to sell old macs- I sold my old G4 tower for 900 and my old pb for 1000- way over what I would consider fair.
So, yes I was dick bad mood sorry- but I suggest Craigs list as the peeps there are less mac-savvy.
