I think you should rework it. If the Superfamous logo really didn't have any influence on you than that's amazing. Something tells me it did (if not subconscious). But do you really want something that is so similar to something else? I know it sucks to ditch something but, that’s just part of being a designer. Back to the drawing board with you.

its a rip .. those two have a star

its still going designnaked, trying to sort out whether to have the logo blocked into the card, could be a while this job!
working on some right shit newsletter at the mo, I sooo wish a had a junior here i could get to do it for a few quid!

haven't looked at any comments but it reminds me of a very very bad (cruedly made) 'Superfamous' ripoff by our very own Folkert.

we'll now that you know there is someone out there with a very similiar logo, don't you want a different one? don't settle for one that kinda looks and feels like someone else. especailly someone else as well known in the design community.
suberb feels fat and chunky to me. not real helveticaish

it is pretty close. esp the light colors on dark background thing. the flow is also very "the same". i do not think there is anything wrong with being inspired by another artist's work. but if it were put in court you want to feel confident that it is not cleary seen as a rip.
tweek with it. changes the colors. and make some large change to the logo. something big.

Felt....I feel your pain....I'm "designing" a WebEx userguide for Coca-Cola right now.

Everyone's so negative!!
I really like the colours that you have used so the wee star jumps out.
i'd try a scriptier 70's style font, with a retro feel, and then maybe you can make the line travel from the initial S right the way through to the wee star.
(you can ask typographica for suggestions on the font front)
:)

Spanna's high.
we're telling it like it is apl, no negativity, just truth.
back to your vegetable patch bud.

the s and the b make a t for me
plus its too close to superfamous as has been mentioned

Without trying to be negative, I just think it's off the mark on many levels. I'm not saying I could do better, I'm saying I think you probably can.
The typeface you chose looks rather casual and frankly, untrustworthy. Why not give them something strong that's totally fresh and different? Something stoic? Something rigid, upon which clients can place their trust?
And if you really want good crit up in here, come up with three or four different designs and bounce them off us.

Its a clone of superfamous.

I think we scared him away........
You making some new comps monk?
- Monk0
No Dublao7 I was out to lunch!
:)
But I do take everyone comments into consideration.
The clients probably will never notice the logo or even seen the logo of Superfamous, but I will get back to the drawing board just because I know I can do better. The logo does have some issues that I can see especially the space on the typeface. But that's one of the reasons why I posted here.
Thank you everyone from not letting me settle
- Dublao70
There you go. Glad we could help
- horton0
no way.. you can't use that for a design and marketing agency.. are you kidding?
doesn't matter if the client won't know Superfamous.. down the road somebody will surely comment on the resemblance (look at the Superfamous client list), and then your name is mud.
doesn't matter if it was unintentional. to sell your client that logo is totally irresponsible.
- i_monk0
What does it matter if the client doesn't think it looks familiar? Would you like your client to pick it, and then find out from customers or such that he paid you a jillion dollareenos to copy it from someone else (the way he'd see it)?
