I'm a novice at this but I'm having an .EPS printed, a b/w logo. The guy that's printing it says he wants it converted to paths. But as far as I can see, that's all I've got. What does he mean?
Does this have anything to do with releasing or expanding compund path's. Ive got CS2 version but I saved the EPS in v10.
Any help apreciated.

The orinter just means to ensure any fonts that yu have used are converted to paths, so that you don't have to supply fonts.
Just select everything on your document, go to Type and select Convert to paths.
Job done

thanks, but there's no fonts in the document. I staretd out with some letters, but I have expanded those shapes. Also, I cant find 'Covert to paths' in the type menu.

It's greyed out. Anyway, I suspect that it's the 'O' thats the problem, so I made a new one, and created outlines on that. I end up ith two shapes, (outer an inner border of the O). I tried to exclude overlapping areas but then I get this coumpound path, containing said two cirlcles. Does this matter?
Thanks again, I suck.

Hi:
I think there is some sonfusion here. I think what you are being told is correct, but the wording may be wrong. In freehand it is "convert to paths". In AI, it is under the type menu, but is phrased as "Create Outlines". Thats it. Just make sure you select all before doing this so anything off the pasteboard gets selected as well. This happens a lot with vector files. I am sure thats what the printer meant. Any other questions, feel free to email me.
Good luck!
