Okay, I started EasyPHP, and connected through there. And then I connected with SQLyog.
It says 'new connection: root@localhost'

Are you logged in and able to admin the database? create new dbs and tables?
You'll need to know what the address is (localhost if its running of your machine) and a username and password (root/root, or root/, or you'll have to set it, and a port - typically 3306
once you log in, i would assume the application you installed created a few default databases and tables that you should be able to access/modify. If you cant log in or see any dbs, maybe somethings wrong in your mysql setup

'root' is the standard connection...
something else is not working, otherwise you would have an error message regarding mysql connection...
I remember having a dificult time because of an upgrade to the most recent mysql/php versions.... very strict security measures don't leave room for mistakes....

I'm not sure if I can create any new tables. I don't think I can in that file, but I can create new dbs.

maybe I'll pay someone with special services to get this done for me.
and by special services, i mean....interwebbb discussions about the meaning of life? or why we spend all our time at NT? or something else...

I'm finally figuring this out.
Haha, sorry, this is like a play-by-play of what I'm doing. I'll stop now and just comment if I get it all working well.

go to phpmyadmin...then click the SQL icon over the database pulldown then click the import tab and click the file and hit go
that should get the DB setup
- Jaline0

- hiten0

Okay, with hiten's (major) help, I managed to get all the tables and databases created, in order for the program to work. However, it still says 'loading' at the bottom. If anyone decides to download Sproutliner (http://www.sproutliner.com) and can figure out what's wrong, that would be awesome. But don't worry about it, since I emailed the creator and I'm hoping he can get back to me soon.
Thanks :)
