Apparently I need it in order for this download to work.
http://sproutliner.com/ (I'm trying to download the open source version from here: http://sproutliner.com/source/)
I'm an extra, extra, extra big n00b with mysql, so any help would be appreciated.

I'll try http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_p…

sorry, the correct link of the .zip file I'm getting is from here:

easy way to get a PHP/MYSQL localhost server running on your own computer is i think by downlaoding this package and installing it. I tried to setup the server myself and it took hours then i had to format now i just use this is easy
- hiten0
it will make a folder on your computer that will be able to run php scripts like a web server...its in the easyphp folder somewhere called www
i havent used the script you are talking about but im assuming you just throw all the files in the www folder and then type in your browser
you should see the folder you have it in and you should be able to use it from there

personally I prefer to setup everything myself
but here's a nice 'combo' setup:
WAMP - php+mysql+apache server
http://www.wampserver.com/en/ind…for a mysql admin I used eSKUel but unfortunately it developed some bugs with php transition to 5.0.
go with phpmyadmin:
http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_p…

thanks. I'll check that out and get back to you.

expect to spend a good deal of hours sorting it out. And a good deal of reading.

hmmm...what hiten suggested doesn't seem to be working. it still just says 'loading' and doesn't move to the info I submitted.
I may just take a break from it for now..since I've been trying to figure it out for many hours now.

if its only saying loading and no results, your paths may be incorrect...what type of OS are you using? on a windows box? or mac os?
- Jaline0
Windows

you can't use mysql and/or php
if you donn't have installed an apache server:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0…

I downloaded EasyPHP, as hiten suggested, and it has pretty much everything included in the download, including the apache thing.

u see something at http://localhost/ ?
- Jaline0
yup, the files i downloaded

You can check it out here:

I'm actually trying to have it offline, but I'll settle for online if I can't figure it out.
- unfittoprint0
yeah, it should work offline....
what kind of error message are you getting?
- Jaline0
Go here:
http://jaline.net/cgi-bin/sprout…and then type something in the text field. It'll just say 'loading' at the bottom, and it's supposed to go to the list page. It's probably having trouble accessing a database or something...

Here's someone who got it right:
http://www.chefdemunca.ro/sprout…I even emailed him about and he doesn't remember what he did to make it work, since it was a few months ago. But he did provide me with the files from his website, which are pretty much the same as the files that are available for download from the Sproutliner website:

maybe mysql isn't set up correctly?
can you access the mysql tables outside of the webpage?
download SQLyog or NaviCat just to try to connect to the db.
SQLyog (free, windows)
