lol @ mrdobolina.
WTF is up with the newscasters and this storm?
I was watching Geraldo on FOX last night and he looked near trashed, his eyes glazed over in some sort of trace. He was going on and on about how the streets of New Orleans would be filled with floating dead bodies and toxic waste and so on. Dude has lost his shit. I known the media has a sweet tooth for death and destruction, but with each passing event, they grow more bizarre and grim. I'm not sure which is worse, this hurricane or the freaks covering it.

"Katrina could be especially devastating if it strikes New Orleans because the city sits below sea level and is dependent on levees and pumps to keep the water out. A direct hit could wind up submerging the city in several feet of water.
Making matters worse, at least 100,000 people in the city lack the transportation to get out of town. Nagin said the Superdome might be used as a shelter of last resort for people who have no cars, with city bus pick-up points around New Orleans. "

It's a terrible scenario all around. I'm hoping and praying that it ends up doing less damage than predicted.

A few years back my best freind and brother got arrested in NOLA for a little pot residue. Holy crap, what a nightmare. They were calling us every three minutes from lockup, protecting each other's asses, getting their prison issue mealkit stolen - so they didn't eat for three days "No mealkit, no meal", etc.
No lawyer in NYC would help us out saying - "Gee, your friends got arrested in the only place in the country where the lagal system is different." So we had to hire a local guy. Man, we got shafted, my bro got shafted. hella dollars. It was old boy's network all the way. Over pot residue.
NOLA can sink into the sea as far as I am concerned.
Oh cool the stadium roof is flying off...
