why you dont'go ahead and see which one of you was right?

Discipler,
In brief you're claiming that science has disproven the theory of evolution. Am I getting that right?

The key to this whole ID issue is this... what is being called "controversial" will, in the coming years, become mainstream. Science tends to behave this way. There are simply more and more scientists taking an honest look at the latest discoveries and abandoning old ideas.
If you don't believe me, just keep your eye on the news about this (from reliable sources!).

dobs, no... most are just theists.
mimio, basically I'm saying that the discoveries within the last 20 - 30 years in the scientific realm are demonstrating that Darwinian Macroevolution is a myth.

the FAQ here will likely answer most questions about ID a lot more eloquently than I can:

The point is that they are fat, and they want just as much attention as the skinny girls. In fact they want society-wide worship like skinny girls.

I believe in Parmenide

oh don't say that rand. you are a dignified human created with a purpose. Molecular Homology demonstrates that our designer used the same fundamental materials in making us. So, don't feel bad if there is some genetic similarity with monkeys. We're all in that boat. :)

sorry, wrong thread.

you know what I just to the revelation of?
That I really don't care if I evolved or was "designed". I just really don't give a shit.

Mimio, how is it that we do not share a common ancestry? Well we could fill this thread with a books-worth. In a nutshell, because science demonstrates that species to species mutations could not happen.

(Aug 2 05, 13:23)seriously dude, wtf are you on about?
i don't see how intelligent design rules out evolution. why can't someone who believes in a god also believe that evolution occured.
- discipler0
emokid, the problem is that the most recent evidence shows that evolution did not and could not have happened. But, beyond that, I think that macroevolution and theism don't fit together because why would an all-powerful being choose such a cruel, inefficient and wasteful means as evolution?
Again, the philosophical and theological problems aren't even the issue. It's about looking at what science actually observes. And it does not observe species to species evolution from a common ancestor.
