... saroose... I don't know why I even bother thinking of this after reading your post.
you're an amazing woman and I don't even know you. :)
crommy... thanks for the cheering up - if I keep the teeth.. I'll scan them and post them in the 'nice head' thread.

saroose, i will never know how it feels. but i have much respect.
and i saw pics of you and your baby a few days ago here, she is lovely, just like the mum.

wish you all the best

If when you're waking up you see them finishing buttoning up... you had a really good time.
Bonus points if they left money in your jock.

The greatest thing is you're fully awake when they crunch them out of your jaw bone. Then you eat through a straw for 4 weeks straight and lose about 20 lbs, causing you to pass out from hypoglycemia as well as the intense aching of your entire face. Good luck buddy.

thanks y'all
my little girl's actually got her first two teeth this month and she's going through hell with it so she's with you in spirit PonyBoy

ahhhhh... all done.
THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME GAS!!!
I'm really bummed out about that - they told me last week that I was getting the Nitros... but I got nothing but a load of needle pokes everywhere. :(
But I did get some pergaset..
... and I can't hit the bong for 48 hours. :( //I'll be sure to follow that rule.
they had to drill out the two bottom teeth - one of them had to be cut into thirds... and the YANKING AND TEARING SOUND IN MY HEAD!! Rad!
for all those who said I needed to man up.. yeah yeah.. .you were right. :)
I still can't feel my mouth and there is blood all over my shirt. I'm going to keep wearing it the rest of the day just to see the reactions.

btw - the blood on the shirt isn't really all that bad. :) there's a few spots where I had a drooling accident on the drive home. Damn this lower lip.

i remember a few days after i got mine pulled my grandpops called and he was like 'how ya feelin'?' so i say 'oh, you know, still recovering' and he says 'i remember when i got mine pulled way back when... i got em pulled for free'.
'howd you pull that one off?' i inquired. 'they said if i didnt use any novacaine they'd pull em out for free. boy, was that painful. and i had to work the rest of the day afterwards.'
i was just like 'i feel better now.'

i've got 3 pulled. it wasn't bad at all. it was kinda disturbing i could clearly tell my dentist is having a hard time pulling one of them out. but i didn't feel any pain.
you get lots of drugs and that'll make you feel all good.
- blackspade0
its not all that bad dude dont sweat it
i was awake thru it, Dentist had to cut mine in half first, then pull em out in halves
the sounds are worse than the pulling/jaring feeling

You all (except saroose, btw, congats) are sadist bas*ards!!
Monday I had the dentist messing in my mouth. I had local anaesthesia and apart the burnt smell while he was drilling, i was thinking all the time to a picture to express that situation/experience.

I had such a BAD experience...the worst pain in my life! I also developed dry socket and had to go back for a second surgery and was out for like 2 weeks with a swollen jaw and lost 10 LBS. because I could not eat. When I bite down sometimes, there is still a little ooze that comes out.
My advice: be calm...the kind of calm before the storm.
