sounds like.. if you two are living together, west LA is a really good location. you can live near one of the major streets, pico, santa monica, olympic or wilshire... all of them will take you to your office. your girl can jump on one of those streets west to lincoin, then take lincoin (or main street/pacific for a prettier marina drive) to LAX. you guys will have equal distance for commute.

I lived in Venice for over 6 years in two different neighborhoods. It definitely has sketchy areas and mellow areas. And the beachfront itself is both sketchy and mellow depending on which part. Having your own parking helps. Off the street & behind a gate will obviously decrease your chances of having your wheels stolen.
I loved Venice when I was there. I recommend it as a starting point at least. But I finally moved inland to Atwater after spending way too much time on the road. Spend some time researching the vibe of the area as shellie suggested.

highrise... i think you'll find out.
:D
but the people you'll meet are great. and youre automatically going to meet and probably be friends with the years of people who are DNA fallout. great for connectiones. our parties are fun tymes.

i love it there
- shellie0
even fucking mr dinky freelanced at DNA.
- highrise0
You work at DNA shellie?
- highrise0
We are only here for a year so I don't mind paying a bit more and getting all the good stuff straight away. Like to be near the beach but would like a pool, gym (not that I have ever used a gym but I like the idea of doing so) and parking etc.
- kld0
learn to love the gym, you're in LA now
- highrise0
yeah I should work out and go back to the uk looking bronzed and buff, but I am thin and lazy. I need a personal trainer to beat me into shape.
- shellie0
I cant really be considered an EX DNAer... I only freelanced there for a bit.
But I did work at 65 media a few years ago, which is how I met all the DNA guys back then. We all started hanging out, and in the last 2 years I've probably been to 20 DNA going away parties.
good times. DNA introduced me to a lot of people. I dont think really anybody is left these days. jimmy chen is still there. hes really good. i think the other people i know that are there are making plans. maybe.. possibly. maybe theyre already gone.
- highrise0
Ok, sounds interesting, think I have spoken to Jimmy. Looking forward to meeting new people. There is a real community of web people in London which is really cool, not sure what it's like here.
- shellie0
you probably spoke to jimmy walker not jimmy chen. jimmy walker aint there no mo.
drop a line when youre all settled in. i'll make sure you get the intel on the next get together.
