I'm no help I rock an HP, it does what I need it to do, about $100.
Scanners and Cameras, you get what you pay for.

I've used a few different Epson's and always been impressed.
I own a fairly decent Canon, and yet, I'm not impressed. The white point seems too high, can't be adjusted down with settings, and means I lose a lot of detail in light areas of photos etc. Contrast not-too-subtle bascially. However, I'm sure that's not the case for all of them, maybe I just got a dud.
Dammit.

i've had this HP at home for about 2 years and it is pretty damn good for around $100. i have an epson 1680XL at work and that thing is the ultrajam and will scan up to 12x18
