no... not the VW - but the game. I've played 36 holes in the last 24 hours... sore - sunburnt - dehydrated...
.. happy. :)
Who plays? I don't know many designers (in this neck of the woods) that do play.

i do. but i'm not very good. i'm ok on approach and putting on the green but my driver tee shots go all over the place...

does driving range with automatic ball loader counts?
i do that 2 - 4 times a month as part of my self made anger management program
it work wonder btw

same here. I connect with about 2 in 10 off the tee but once I'm on the fairway (if I manage to land on it) or the green then I'm golden.
I used to play a lot when I was much younger. But just this year I've suddenly been forced back into the game. Love it though. It's relaxing (if you let it be) and very challenging. Plus, it's one of the few sports where you can smoke while you play and have cute girls bring you beer along the way ;)

STAY STRONG TOE_KNEE!!!
A couple of years ago I was at Caesars Palace and this hi-roller guy and I were talking and he asked if I played golf. I said "No". and then he proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to be successful in the future I would need to learn golf as a means of breaking the ice with clients and for negotiating business deals. "You're going to have to learn sometime; the sooner the better" he tells me. I just shook my head and laughed at him the whole time. I now refuse to takeup golf as a hobby or "business aid". Yeah, I've been on the course 3 times in my lifetime, but it was to get drunk or to just see how far I could hit the ball. Don't tell me what the fuck I need to do old man...

point5 - you let an old man ruin a good game.
sad.

I took some lessons here in holland, but the problem is that you need to get a golfing liscence... so driving range only for me...

the only thing I hate about Golf is where I live. Actually - that's the problem... I love it here and hate it here...
it was 110 out today - and Phoenix is under a blazing sun... i'm burnt.... but 4 months now it'll be heaven here.

I never really had a choice in the matter - my Dad plays so I was introduced to it as a kid and am actually fairly good now...
...when I manage to get away from the office long enough to play a few holes around Ireland, that is...
...problem is I'm usually suffering from a hangover when I'm on the course which doesn't help...
But, you're right, I don't know many (if any) designers who play golf... funny that...

when i discovered you could drink on the fairway.. i was sold.
it's what the hip flask was invented for. right?
- smith_barry0
Would you believe you are not allowed to drink while you play golf here in Ireland?!
Who would've thought it, eh?!

I'm also a bit of a hacker & club thrower ;)
Down with this sort of thing!

Haha!
I've been known to swing a club through the air in anger from time to time!
There's something very therapeutic about it... my old man's actually been known to break a club here and there!
Ha ha haa! Angry Dad!
